Connections of Desert Encounter could put their sights on another Pattison Canadian International victory night after the seven-year-old triumphed on Saturday at Woodbine.
Desert Encounter has been a length winner of the Grade One heating this past year, when beating fellow British raider Thundering Blue, and had half a length to spare on this occasion over German runner Alounak.
The David Simcock-trained gelding has been enrolling a fourth win on the bounce after Group Three wins at Goodwood, Windsor and Newbury, and his team see no reason Desert Encounter cant bid to imitate Joshua Tree, who is the only triple winner of this 12-furlong race thus far.

Hes loving his racing — hes only in a very joyful place (at) this moment.
While Joseph OBriens Red Tea was out of the framework at the EP Taylor Stakes andrew Baldings Pivoine contested the International, but had to settle for fourth.
